Auto Sync
In Auto Mode, you don’t need to do anything manually—the plugin automatically keeps your local vault and cloud in sync on a set schedule.
NOTEAuto Sync is a Professional feature. You cannot switch to Auto Mode without unlocking it.
Enable Auto Mode
Section titled “Enable Auto Mode”- Open Settings and switch to the Sync tab.
- In the “1” Cloud Cold Backup section, switch the Backup Strategy dropdown to Auto Mode.
- The plugin starts a sync round immediately; the status bar at the top of the dashboard shows “Auto Sync: Guarding”.
Switching the Backup Strategy back to Controlled Mode disables auto sync (see Manual Sync).
How Auto Sync Works
Section titled “How Auto Sync Works”- Sync on start: If Auto Mode is active when the plugin loads, it starts syncing automatically.
- Scheduled sync: By default it syncs every 1 minute; adjust it via the Auto Sync Interval slider under Configure Sync Parameters (1~60 minutes).
- Adaptive interval: Drag the Auto Sync Interval slider to 0 to enable adaptive mode. The plugin dynamically adjusts the next sync interval based on recent sync duration, file count, and error rate—slowing down when the network is busy or errors occur, and speeding up when idle.
- Conflicts & ignores: Files are handled per the Conflict Resolution, Ignored Files, and Skip Large Files settings under Configure Sync Parameters.
Stop and Restart Auto Sync
Section titled “Stop and Restart Auto Sync”Open the dashboard (click the cloud icon in the sidebar on PC, or find the icon in the bottom hamburger menu on mobile), then go to Quick Actions:
- While auto sync is running, the Stop Sync button is shown—click it to pause.
- When stopped, the Start Sync button is shown—click it to resume.
You can also stop auto sync by switching the Backup Strategy back to Controlled Mode in Settings → Sync.
View Sync Status and Reports
Section titled “View Sync Status and Reports”- Live status: The status bar at the top of the dashboard shows the current state—“Auto Sync: Transferring…” while syncing, and “Auto Sync: Guarding” while waiting for the next round.
- Recent Sync: Click Recent Sync in Quick Actions to view the detailed records and errors of each sync round.
- Dry Run: Click Dry Run in Quick Actions to simulate a sync round (nothing is written to the cloud), useful for checking your configuration.
- Activity Logs: Switch to the Activity Logs tab at the bottom of the dashboard to view real-time sync logs.
See Runtime Report for details.
