Use Cases

Put your cloud drive to work

Embed cloud drive videos

Drop a cloud video into your note and play it in place; annotate as you watch — no downloads, no disk used.

Custom connectors

Podcasts and radio feeds — the plugin ships no built-in parser. Install a connector you wrote, and those episodes play and annotate just like files on your drive.

Cloud file links

Drag a file from your drive into a note and only a link lands: the file stays in the cloud, previews open in place, and your own disk spends a hundred bytes.

Automatic cloud sync

Keep writing and let it run: each cycle pushes local changes to the drive you picked, walking from "3 changes pending" to "Data aligned". Aliyun Drive, Baidu, Quark, OneDrive, WebDAV and S3 all plug in, and you can switch at any time.

Capabilities

Built for the modern researcher.

Sync Vault combines extreme performance with absolute privacy, giving you the best of both worlds.

VFS Technology

Access terabytes of research notes without filling up your local drive. Sync only what you edit.

E2E Encryption

Your notes are your business. Everything is encrypted locally before it ever hits the cloud.

P2P Collaboration

Sync directly between devices on the same network for maximum speed and zero server latency.

Model Context Protocol

AI + Cloud = Super Brain.

World's first Obsidian plugin supporting MCP. Allow Claude or Cursor to securely index and query your cloud-hosted PDFs and research without local storage overhead.

Instant Access

AI gets summaries from cloud files without downloading the entire vault.

Global Search

Search across all your cloud storage providers from a single AI prompt.

Pluggable Connectors

An Open Connector Architecture

Connectors are an open architecture: anyone can write one, install it from a URL, and it loads at runtime — no plugin update needed. Video, audio and AI agent sessions are today's examples, and they won't be the last.

A Connector Is a Folder

manifest.json declares the id, type and contract version; main.js is the entire code. Install it by pasting a URL in Connector management, or by dropping the folder into the plugin's connectors/ directory.

Reload Instead of Restart

Connectors are scanned when the plugin starts. After editing main.js, run the "Reload user connectors" command and the change takes effect — no need to restart Obsidian. A failed connector only affects itself.

Three Contract Types

Video sources, audio sources and agent sessions today. Network requests go through the host channel — no CORS restrictions — and settings are read and written by the host.
